Butter in Slices
The idea of a pre-sliced dairy product is hardly new. Processed cheese slices have been a convenience staple since the mid-20th century. But applying the same logic to pure butter is a significant manufacturing leap. The mockup shows the classic silver foil and blue Lurpak branding on a 150g pack, a size comparable to the brand’s smaller butter blocks.
The format implies convenience and perfect portion control. Each sheet would presumably be separated by paper, ready to be peeled off and laid directly onto hot toast, where it would melt evenly without any structural damage to the bread below. It’s a simple solution to an old problem. Very simple.
What the real range looks like
It’s difficult to see where the Precision Toast Sheets would sit in a brand portfolio that appears to be diversifying aggressively. The current range includes products as varied as the M&S Flip Dip in Basil or Red Pepper flavours, a Gardman Flip Top Seed Feeder, and the Stanley Iceflow Bottle with Flip Straw. A shift into sliced butter represents another significant, and quite different, step.
