Another Brand Crossover
A design for a new Magnum variant has been making the rounds. The concept combines the ice cream stick with one of the UK’s most recognisable mint chocolates. It’s an Aero Peppermint Mint Choc Chip Magnum.
The packaging mockup uses the classic Magnum gold but overlays it with the dark green and bubble motif closely associated with Nestlé’s Aero. The image depicts a standard Magnum shape, but with visible dark chocolate chips suspended in the mint-green ice cream, all coated in cracking milk chocolate. This differs from Magnum’s own existing mint product. This is a very specific idea. The original caption simply said: “Aero Peppermint Bubbly Mint Choc Chip Magnums! Need these!”
The Current Magnum Range
Magnum owner Wall’s already has a strong core range in UK freezers. The current lineup is broad. It covers classics like the original, Almond, and White Chocolate, alongside more complex builds like Double Raspberry and Salted Caramel. There are also vegan versions of the Classic, and tubs like the Magnum Double Salted Caramel Ice Cream Tub.
Crucially, there is already a Magnum Mint. It’s sold both in full-size and as Magnum Mini Mint Ice Cream Sticks. However, that product features plain mint-flavoured ice cream in a chocolate shell. The addition of chocolate chips in this new concept is the key point of difference, moving it from a simple ‘mint and chocolate’ flavour into the more specific ‘mint choc chip’ category.
A Supermarket Format
The concept is presented in a cardboard multipack box. This is not a single stick for an impulse buy from a corner shop freezer. It’s a take-home format, specifically a 3-pack, just like the Magnum Classic Ice Cream Sticks 3x100ml pack sold in supermarkets.
This positions the idea firmly as a weekly-shop item, sitting alongside other multipacks in the main frozen aisle. The choice of a familiar, high-volume format suggests a product intended for mass-market appeal rather than a limited-edition single.
What the real range looks like
Magnum’s current UK range includes Magnum Mint and Magnum Mini Mint sticks. This concept would be a new addition, distinguished by the inclusion of chocolate chips inside the ice cream, unlike the existing plain mint version. It would sit alongside other core flavours like Classic, Almond, White Chocolate, and Double Raspberry.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between this and the current Magnum Mint?
- The existing Magnum Mint contains plain mint-flavoured ice cream coated in chocolate. This concept adds chocolate chips into the ice cream itself, making it a true ‘mint choc chip’ product.
- Is this an official crossover with Nestlé Aero?
- The packaging design and the ‘bubbly’ description in the original caption clearly reference Nestlé’s Aero brand. However, this is a concept image, not an official collaboration between Wall’s and Nestlé.
- Is the Mint Choc Chip Magnum real?
- No, this is a Snackfish. It is a mockup created by the page UK Snack Attack and is not a real product sold anywhere.
