An American Twist on a British Classic
The Percy Pig range is one of the most stable and recognisable in UK confectionery. Since 1992, the core product has been a fruit-flavoured gum, a formula M&S has rarely deviated from for the sweets themselves. This new concept design, however, proposes a complete overhaul of that identity by introducing an American confectionery giant into the mix.
A pouch of Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme Percy Pigs would represent a fundamental change. It moves Percy out of the fruit gum category and into white chocolate confectionery. The flavour itself, a combination of white chocolate and dark cookie pieces, is a world away from the classic raspberry and grape profile that defines the original sweet. The packaging mockup keeps the familiar pink pouch and Percy branding, but the collaboration with Hershey’s marks it as a significant departure.
A Major Format Change
For three decades, the central Percy Pig line has been built entirely on variations of the fruit gum. There have been themed bags, different shapes, and minor recipe tweaks, but the essence of the product has remained constant. This concept moves the brand into new territory.
It’s not just a new flavour; it’s a different type of sweet. Translating the crunchy, creamy texture of a Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme bar into a soft, chewy Percy Pig format presents a genuine product design challenge. Would it be a white chocolate Percy with biscuit inclusions, or a fondant-style sweet that mimics the flavour? The possibilities are interesting, but either route would create a product fundamentally unlike any other Percy Pig sweet currently on the market.
What the real range looks like
The current M&S range is exclusively fruit-based gums. It includes the classic M&S Percy Pig Fruit Gums, Percy Pig Pals, Large Percy Pig, Piglets, Party Time, Original Veggie, and the You Give Me Butterflies Fruit Gums. A Hershey’s chocolate variant would be the first of its kind, sitting entirely outside the established product family.

Frequently asked questions
- What flavour is the original Percy Pig?
- The classic Percy Pig flavour is a unique blend of raspberry, strawberry, cherry and grape juices. This distinct fruit gum taste has been the product’s signature since it was first launched.
- Has M&S ever made a chocolate Percy Pig sweet?
- While M&S has released countless Percy-branded items, including biscuits, cakes, and ice cream, the core pig-shaped sweet has always been a fruit gum. This Hershey’s concept would be the first time the actual Percy Pig sweet was imagined as a chocolate product.
- Is Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme Percy Pig a real product?
- No. This is a Snackfish, a conceptual mockup created by the online design page UK Snack Attack. It is not a real M&S product and is not sold anywhere.
