A Major Brand Crossover
The freezer aisle has seen its share of ambitious flavour combinations, but a collaboration between Magnum and Ribena would be a notable one. A new design proposes exactly that: a Ribena Blackcurrant Dark Chocolate Magnum, presented in the brand’s familiar three-pack box format. It’s a simple, effective concept, pairing a household name in ice cream with a household name in squash.
This type of direct co-branding is a new direction for Magnum. The brand’s identity is built on classic indulgence—chocolate, caramel, nuts, and the occasional fruit. Partnering with another specific, powerful food and drink brand is not part of their usual playbook. The mockup shows the classic Magnum shape, coated in dark chocolate, but suggests a flavour profile borrowed entirely from the blackcurrant drink.
The Current Magnum Range
Magnum’s current UK lineup is extensive but follows a clear pattern. The core range includes Classic, White Chocolate, Mint, and Almond. These are the mainstays, available in standard multipacks and often as Mini variants. From there, the portfolio expands into more complex confectionery territory.
The ‘Double’ series offers layered textures, with current examples being Double Raspberry and the Magnum Double Salted Caramel Ice Cream Tub. They also produce single, distinct flavour variants like Salted Caramel and the more recent Signature Peach. There is a Vegan Classic, too. A blackcurrant flavour wouldn’t be out of place alongside raspberry and peach, but the Ribena branding itself is what makes this concept different from anything they currently produce.
What the real range looks like
Magnum currently produces a core range including Classic, Mint, and White Chocolate, alongside fruit flavours like Double Raspberry and Signature Peach. A Ribena Blackcurrant flavour would add another fruit option, but the direct brand crossover is a complete departure from their current strategy which focuses on ingredient-led flavours like Almond and Salted Caramel.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the new Magnum flavour in the mockup?
- The concept shows a Ribena Blackcurrant Dark Chocolate Magnum. It imagines a crossover between the premium ice cream stick and the classic British squash.
- Does Magnum make other drinks-based ice creams?
- No. The current UK Magnum range focuses on classic ingredients like chocolate, mint, and almond, or specific fruits like raspberry and peach. A collaboration with a brand like Ribena would be a first for them.
- Are Ribena Magnums real?
- No. This is a Snackfish, a piece of digital art from the online designer UK Snack Attack. It is a mockup, not a real product, and is not for sale anywhere.
